All the paper models have been designed to be assemble in scale 1/500. That does not mean you cannot choose another scale, but the level of detail and the size of the parts are ideal for that scale.
The designs hace been made with the CAD software AutoCAD. The dimensions of the height and base are the official ones. The rest of parts and components such as the windows, doors, columns or roof pieces have approximate measures, but are very accurate and close to reality.
The material used to assemble the buildings is always paper. For the facades I have used very thick paper (160gr/m2) and for small pieces less thicker paper (90gr/m2). The interior has been reinforced with cork and wood sticks.
I have added two types of printed pdf: for A1/0 format and A4 format. Choose want you want. The advantage of printing the big ones is that all the facade will be continuos, with no cuts. Originally I tried to do that, but I have no any plotter at home. So I had to pay for it in a printing shop. Besides, if I made a mistake when cutting the edges or gluing the parts, I needed a new A1 sheet, so more money.
That´s why I dediced to print my own A4 sheets at home. I use a laser printer with 2400ppm resolution, that gives me a quite good result. The only downside is that I must join the facades in the middle, since an A4 sheet is not big enough to capture the whole facade in 1/500. Then, I must be so careful when cutting the coincident edges of the upper and down pieces of each facade, as well as when joining them.
